The Berlage is now accepting applications for their fall 2015 design master class led by MVRDV’s Nathalie de Vries. The event gives students, professionals and post-master’s-level students a chance to work alongside world-renowned architects, designers and academics in order to tackle a chosen range of contemporary issues within the built environment.
The master class, titled ‘The Multiple’ will focus students on the idea of adaptability within buildings and get them to consider how buildings themselves can act as a ‘multiple’. Students will have the opportunity to design a building which, in its nature, will outlast any given function without becoming a standardised generic space.
The class will take place between the 12th-20th November 2015 and is open to a maximum of 15 external participants. The cost for students for the week will be €250 for students and €500 for professionals. Those who wish to participate can send their CV and portfolio to info@theberlage.nl before Wednesday, 21st October 2015 at 8:00 am. Confirmation will be received before the 21st October and cancelation is possible until up to two weeks before the start of the master class.
