MVRDV beat out teams from firms including OMA, Mecanoo, Powerhouse Company and West 8 among others to take the final trophy in the annual competition on Saturday, September 12th. Each year, the losing team commits to hosting the event the following year. MVRDV last won the tournament 9 years ago in 2006.
