MVRDV Partner and Head of Strategy, Jan Knikker has become member of the “Gestaltungs- und Denkmalbeirat der Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden”, i.e. the design and monument advisory board of the Hesse state capital Wiesbaden. “It’s an immense honour to be participating in the further development of Wiesbaden, a city with 2000 years of history, almost untouched by WWII and blessed with a strong growth. As part of the Gestaltungsbeirat, I hope to help shape the future of Wiesbaden in a constructive way.”

The task of the independent committee of experts is to advise on private and municipal building projects, concepts and plans that are important for the preservation and design of Wiesbaden's cityscape. 

The findings of the advisory board are recommendations and are addressed to private builders and architects as well as to the administration and city councilors.
