On the 31st January the Studio Amsterdam will present its alternative plans for the strip of Overhoeks, the new mixed-use neighborhood of Amsterdam. Shell's Overhoeks Tower, which also gave this part of Amsterdam its name is a former Main Laboratory, that awaits a new purpose. The studio will be tutored by Professor Jacob van Rijs. Studio Amsterdam is part of the Master track of the Department of Architecture and intends to delve into this issue, asking the key question: how can the city of Amsterdam increase its appeal to a wide spectrum of singles by offering an intriguing supply of dwellings to this target group?
