Sanne van der Burgh to speak at Cities Climate Connect in Kuala Lumpur

On August 12, MVRDV's director of research & innovation Sanne van der Burgh will take part in the Cities Climate Connect conference in Kuala Lumpur, hosted by the Malaysia Green Building Council. Taking part in the first session of the day, the Climate Action Forum, dedicated to the topic of Accelerating the Transition to Zero Carbon Cities, Sanne will take the audience on a rapid tour through MVRDV's quest to reduce carbon emissions in its designs. Discussing tools such as CarbonSpace and RoofScape, and projects including the Tour & Taxis Towers and Plum Village, she will reveal the difficulties and opportunities experienced by MVRDV in challenging business-as-usual construction approaches. Following her presentation, Sanne will join a panel discussion led by former President of the Malaysia GBC, architect Sarly Adre Sarkum, and featuring the session's other speakers, Dato’ Davis Chong of Solarvest Holdings Berhad, and Murali Ram of C40 Cities.
