How can we envision a world where we design not just with nature, but as nature? Join Winy Maas as he will speak at the EDGE Architecture Festival in Budapest on June 18, discussing how we could transform our planet into a sustainable home for over 8 billion humans and all other species.

His lecture, “Biotopia!”, asks us to both imagine and intervene: to dream of cities transformed into forests, and architecture that grows like trees, living, adaptive, and rich with biodiversity. Winy will share his reflections on current developments in Europe and his own research from TU Delft think tank The Why Factory, alongside architectural projects that translate these ideas of a Biotopia into practice.
