On 19th March, Urban Land Institute (ULI) Germany presents Urban*Start Hamburg: Von der Elbe zur Vision (“From the river Elbe to a vision”).

The event, chaired by Dr. Thorsten Bischoff, explores how Hamburg can strengthen its international competitiveness while remaining a livable and sustainable city.

MVRDV Director Sven Thorissen will present how a positive, ambitious mindset in urban planning can shape cities, sharing best-practice examples from Rotterdam and how such approaches can guide future urban development.

Further, he will join Karen Pein, Hamburg’s Senator for Urban Development and Housing, and Prof. Götz Wiese, Initiative Hamburg Vor zur Welt, in a panel discussion, moderated by Henrike Waldburg and Dr. Johannes Conradi on the topic of “Urban Ambition – How Global Is Hamburg, and What Does the Real Estate Industry Contribute?”.
