On 9th March 2026, Leo Stuckardt, Associate at MVRDV and co-founder of MVRDV NEXT, will give a talk about the use of parametric design workflows in architectural practice.
This talk is part of a broader series exploring digital innovations in architecture — from digital city planning to AI — offered as an online expert forum by Architektenkammer NRW.
In his talk, Leo will present Valley as a practical case study from MVRDV, and demonstrate how shapes and spaces are no longer drawn in the traditional way, but are generated using scripts, rules and defined parameters.
He will be joined by Jacqueline Peter, a doctoral candidate at the University of Duisburg-Essen. She will look at the topic from the perspective of research and teaching, and show how ‘parametric design’ and ‘generative design’ differ and where synergies arise.
The talk will be in German.
digitalMONDAYs are recognised as continuing education for AKNW members with 2 points. Registration is required.
