On November 13, Lorenzo Mattozzi, Architect and Associate at MVRDV, will speak at Restructura, the leading fair in Turin dedicated to construction, refurbishment, and restoration.

He will be the inaugural speaker at the session titled “AI in everyday life: success stories of artificial intelligence use in the construction industry” (L’IA nel quotidiano: casi di successo di uso dell’intelligenza artificiale nella filiera del costruito).

The guest panel, which includes professionals from architecture, construction, and technology, will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming design, management, and maintenance practices across the construction industry. The discussion will highlight how AI opens new perspectives for the regeneration of existing built heritage and aims to present practical, real-world AI applications in architecture. The session will demonstrate how integrating AI into professional and business environments can redefine design outcomes and revolutionize traditional workflows.

Lorenzo’s lecture, titled “QuotidIAno: l'IA nella pratica di MVRDV,” will showcase MVRDV’s recent work with artificial intelligence since its adoption in 2022. His presentation will emphasize MVRDV’s commitment to harnessing AI through tailored workflows that enhance precision and control in design, while integrating participatory and collaborative methodologies. By combining experimental and practical projects, MVRDV continues to develop multimodal, iterative approaches that explore new ways to shape architectural projects and communicate design narratives.

The event is organized by the Chamber of Architects of Turin, the Order of Engineers of Turin, and the College of Surveyors of Turin, in collaboration with GL events.
