Jacob van Rijs to lecture on housing at the Technical University of Madrid

undefined

On November 12th, MVRDV founding partner Jacob van Rijs will give a lecture at ETSAM, part of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). Organised by the Master in Collective Housing programme, offered jointly by UPM and ETH Zurich, Jacob's lecture is part of the "November Talks" sponsored by the STO Foundation. This year, the November Talks are all focused on housing; Jacob's lecture, Housing Matters, will examine the housing crisis not only as a question of numbers, but of imagination, examining how we live together, how we share space, and how architecture can restore balance in a system under strain. Using MVRDV's recent collective housing projects as a lens, the lecture will reflect on the European and Dutch context, where affordability, density, and diversity collide, exploring how architects can re-engage with these urgent realities.

Date & Time: Wednesday, November 12th, 12:00 CET
Location: Salón de Actos, ETSAM. Avda Juan Herrera 4. 28040, Madrid, Spain
