On 25 June at the European Urban Resilience Forum, Associate and Business Development Manager for Urban Planning Maria Stamati will join a panel discussing how we move towards climate-resilient cities, and in particular the co-creation tools and services for local action. Maria will explain how MVRDV has engaged local communities in the co-creation process, and which strategies are most effective in helping foster this type of engagement. In particular, Maria will consider how MVRDV looked to its own neighbourhood - the Hoogkwartier, where the Rotterdam headquarters is located - and how we could make people aware of how their own mobility choices impacted on the public space in our city, and what effects new forms of mobility would have on the area. Maria will also reflect on the Rooftop Catalogue, which aims to inspire people and demonstrate why we should look up to the skies and reprogramme our rooftops to help with issues such as climate change.
