First in a closed door discussion with students at the IUAV University of Venice, and then in a lecture freely open to the public, senior project leader Andrea Manente will discuss the operational implementation of digitalisation in an international practice, referencing both internal projects and processes. In his talk "A circular journey around datascapes", Andrea will introduce a number of case studies, including Matrix ONE, Valley, Depot Boijmans van Beuningen, and our early Datascape research as a precursor to BIM, and how leveraging the capabilities of BIM within the creative process helped MVRDV realise such complex projects. 

Architect and Senior Project Leader Andrea Manente joined MVRDV in 2019, and has significant experience in leading projects and BIM specialism across different scales and programs. This includes high-rise residential buildings, Matrix ONE, a demountable office building and science park, and transforming MVRDV's Expo 2000 Dutch Pavilion into a mixed-use facility comprising offices, a restaurant, cafes, and exhibition areas while adding two new residential buildings. In 2024, Andrea became Senior Project Leader, and currently leads the LXK Campus project as well as a vision plan for the future development of an airport.
