Do architects embrace the new forms of life enabled by emerging technologies — or should they resist and aim to limit their influence?
In a world affected by climate change, we need buildings that can adapt to the environment. AI and sustainability technologies are now playing a role in delivering these suitable environments for human activities, posing the question for architects as to how much they work with new technologies and their development. Do they embrace the new forms that these technologies enable and produce, or will they instead scale back their use as much as possible?
Alongside Thomas Auer, Ron Bakker, Helga Blocksdorf, and John Bosch, founding partner Jacob van Rijs will join a panel moderated by Harm Tilman and Marianne van der Sande in which the architects will explain how they envisage the relationship between architecture and technology, tradition and modernity, insight and intelligence.
