Arjen Ketting supports MVRDV’s Studio 8 as Project Leader for Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen. He has played an integral role in the development of the façade, obtaining building permission, and conducting aesthetic supervision during the execution of this groundbreaking Rotterdam project. He continues to supervise numerous interiors, landscapes, and relevant art installation projects relevant to the Depot, however, his broader role within the office is BREEAM Assessor. Ketting applies his knowledge in a wide range of projects, from single-family housing to urban plans, and from concept phase to execution, challenging design teams to integrate sustainable design practice in every stage and facet of their design concepts. Ketting has also completed several refurbishment projects, ranging from the insertion of a new interior into a national monument, to stripping and repurposing an old industrial building, and transforming it into a modern office building. Having studied industrial design before he completed his Master of Architecture, Ketting lends a rich multidisciplinary perspective to his work.
