Do you want to find out how MVRDV designs combine sustainability aspects with spatial and programmatic innovation? Partner and architect Stefan de Koning has a broad design background that includes both architecture and interior design. He will talk more about this experiences and MVRDV’s vision on this topic during the Congress for Sustainable Architecture in Serbia on October 9.
Having begun his career working for several artists, and Dutch Opera Interior Designers, Stefan de Koning joined MVRDV in 2001. Leveraging the conceptual competencies of his scenography and exhibition design experience, de Koning has been integral to the success of numerous MVRDV international competition submissions and projects, including Gyre in Tokyo (2007), Future Towers (Pune, 2018), Pixel (currently under construction in Abu Dhabi), and De Oosterlingen (recently won competition in Amsterdam).
The Congress for Sustainable Architecture is held in Serbia for the fourth time. This time in the exceptional, multifunctional spaces of the Yugoslav Cinematheque in Belgrade. Stefan de Koning is one of the 10 eminent architects and experts who will lecture as part of this event. There will also be an exhibition and several workshops.
