How can we stimulate high-quality educational development through urban development, innovation and design? MVRDV Director of Asia Steven Smit will participate in a panel discussion organized by Domus China about this topic on March 19.
Steven Smit oversees all MVRDV Asian projects. Based in the Shanghai office, he maintains a clear and direct line of contact between MVRDV’s local Shanghai design teams, and clients. Smit brings a wide range of international experience and education, having studied in both his native Netherlands, and Australia. He has worked in China and Hong Kong since 2002 at the director level, with numerous international architecture and engineering studios, including OMA, where he was part of the CCTV Tower team in Beijing, AECOM for whom he lead TOD projects in Chengdu, as well as PTW, as China Director. His experience spans the entire practice of architecture in China from concept development to project execution and handover.
