Berlin office director Lennaart Sirag will give an online lecture at Culture Invest Congress on enabling cities and landscapes to develop a better future on Thursday 26 November. The Congress in Potsdam discusses time-tested and new approaches to culture management, culture funding and culture communications.
Sirag oversees the projects in German-speaking countries in the realization phase. The buildings in these countries reach very high quality, but tend to be more monotonous than abroad. For him it is a great pleasure to mix things up with MVRDV’s characteristically spectacular, vivid, sustainable, and colourful approach to architecture and urbanism.
In his lecture, Sirag will discuss about the position of MVRDV in Germany. MVRDV providing solutions to contemporary architectural and urban issues. Through the highly collaborative, research-based design method involves clients, stakeholders, and experts from a wide range of fields from early on in the creative process. The results are exemplary, outspoken projects that enable our cities and landscapes to develop towards a better future. For example Expo Pavilion 2.0 in Hannover. This project is a transformation of one of MVRDV’s own projects, the Dutch Pavilion at the 2000 World Expo in Hannover. The design maintains the qualities that made the pavilion an icon of the 2000 World Expo and reinterprets the original project’s concept for the two new buildings.
Date: Thursday 26 November 2020, 10AM – 1PM
