Jan Knikker will join a workshop and panel discussion in ‘Repositioning Architecture in the Digital’,  part of the Jaap Bakema Study Centre conference 2020 at Het Nieuwe Instituut (HNI), on born digital archives and their peculiarities. The archive of MVRDV, acquired by Het Nieuwe Instituut (HNI) in 2016 will be used as a case study.

The Jaap Bakema Study Centre conference aims to critically explore the interplay between architecture and digital culture since the 1970s. In ‘Repositioning Architecture in the Digital’ contributions probe questions of acquisition and the exhibition of born digital materials, how to work with the technical formats and their software, and how to re-imagine the accessibility of digital archives. With Suzanne Mulder, Frans Neggers, Eline de Graaf, Flora van Gaalen. Moderated by Dirk van den Heuvel.

Date and location: Thursday 26 November 10.00h – 12.30h at Het Nieuwe Instituut
