MVRDV partner Wenchian Shi and the director of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Sjarel Ex, are keynote speakers at the 2020 Shenzhen Design Week. During the month of August the Design Forum of 2020 Shenzhen Design Week takes Values of Design as its theme. A series of five online symposiums will focus on five topics: Designing Social Distancing, Designing Museums for the Future, Designing Cities, Seeking the Invisible and The Observer of Commodity Chain.
Saturday the 8th of August is all about Designing Museums for the Future. Wenchian Shi and Sjarel Ex will talk about the Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, sharing their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of designing and operating museums and their vision about the role of museums and their architecture.
