Jacob van Rijs, principal architect and founding partner of MVRDV, is lecturing at Peter Behrens School of Arts in Dusseldorf, on 15 January 2020 at 18.30. His lecture is part of the series talking about "Housing Models for a New Urban Density" and will bring, among others, the example of the Parkrand building in Amsterdam.
This project condenses small housing units into an impressive volume preserving and even enlarging, the park in order to continue the optimistic tradition that characterizes the history of these typical post war modernist Dutch neighbourhoods.
