Jacob van Rijs, principal architect and founding partner of MVRDV will give a lecture Tuesday, 19 November 2019, at Colegio Territorial de Arquitectos de Castellón, the Chamber of Architects of the Spanish region of Castellón. The lecture is related to Jacob chairing on Wednesday, 20 November, the jury of the 18th edition of ASCER Ceramica Awards 2019. The Awards are divided into three categories: Architecture, Interior Design and Final Project. In all three categories, both participants and works can be national or international and the only essential requirement is that the projects include in their formal part flooring and/or ceramic coverings of Spanish companies in the category of products represented by ASCER.
Jacob van Rijs presides over the jury, which is completed by the following members: Inês Lobo; Portuguese architect; David Lorente, founding partner of the H Arquitectes studio; Eugeni Bach, from Bach Arquitectes; Héctor Ruiz Velázquez, from Ruiz Velázquez Architecture & Design Team; Tomoko Sakamoto, editor specialised in architecture; and Ramón Monfort, from the Castellón College of Architects.
