MVRDV designer Mathias Pudelko will speak on the 22nd of January at Bauhaus University Weimar, Germany. In his lecture part of the horizonte series, Mathias will address the content, expectations and prospects of the architecture studies at the Bauhaus University, as well as offer insights into the challenges and design possibilities in the everyday work practice. Mathias will illustrate the philosophy and history of MVRDV, by presenting selected and supervised projects.

Since 1992, the student initiative horizonte has been organizing a separate lecture series for each semester, which supplements the Bauhaus university’s curriculum with weekly lectures on Tuesday evening. Therefore, many guests from the fields of architecture, art and design have held interesting and influential lectures on various topics of theory and practice over the years. Different personalities such as Beatriz Colomina, Kisho Kurokawa, Peter Cook, Ole Scheeren, Jacob van Rijs, Nicola Twilley and Geoff Manaugh, Mark Smout and Didier Faustino enriched the format with their coming.
